L’Officina is the signature restaurant of Winter Garden Hotel, a four-star property located just a few minutes from Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport. To strengthen our front-of-house team, we are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager (Vice Maitre) to support the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the restaurant, actively contributing to service excellence and team coordination.
The role
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing service operations and dining room organization, taking on increasing responsibilities and contributing directly to the smooth running of daily activities.
- Support the organization and coordination of front-of-house operations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and high service standards;
- Supervise mise en place and service delivery, providing hands-on operational support when required;
- Welcome and assist guests, building positive relationships and enhancing the overall guest experience;
- Present and promote the restaurant’s culinary offerings, guiding guests through menu selections;
- Coordinate the dining room team in close collaboration with the kitchen and bar teams;
- Support staff supervision and daily team management, fostering a professional and collaborative working environment;
- Participate, when required, in the finishing and presentation of selected dishes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role, or as a Chef de Rang with supervisory responsibilities, preferably within structured hospitality environments;
- Excellent understanding of restaurant service standards and dining room operations;
- Good command of the English language;
- Knowledge of an additional foreign language is considered an advantage.
